Introduction

In order to enhance environmental protection and ensure public security and hygiene in the campus and labs of Lunghwa, the Board of the Institute Affairs of Lunghwa agreed and established the Office of Environment Safety in June, 2000. Currently the Office of Environment Safety is divided into  two divisions: environmental protection Division, and labor safety and sanitation Division. Major duties of the office are as follows:

The duties include:

1. To prevent the calamity of public safety in the campus of Lunghwa; to plan, suggest, and supervise how to deal with an emergency. Campus safety from/against calamities; planning, suggestion and supervision of emergency procedures
2. To plan, suggest, and supervise how to enhance fire control and how to prevent fire explosion in the campus. Planning, suggestion and supervision of enhancing campus fire control and prevention
3. To plan, suggest, and supervise how to prevent the pollution of environment in the campus. Planning, suggestion and supervision of campus environment pollution prevention
4. To plan, suggest, and supervise the safety and hygiene in the labs of the campus. Planning, suggestion and supervision of campus lab safety and hygiene
5. To superintend the health of the staffs and members who use the experimental facilities of the labs in the campus. Superintend health of staff and members who use experiment facilities in campus labs
6. To propagate, educate, and train the importance and know-how of hygiene, public security, environmental protection, and fire control of the labs in the campus.
