In recent years, university and college training in commercial and product design has yielded impressive results, but the lack of professionals in the field of cultural creativity and digital media design is critical. In an effort to address the situation, our department intends to provide prospective talents a comprehensive module of curriculums focused on “digital processing techniques”, “product design”, and “fashion product”.
The contemporary cultural creativity industry chain is tripartite: the primary culture-centric phase, the secondary creativity-application, and the tertiary production. Our curriculum's content corresponds to the aforementioned chain and is designed with the following objectives:
- Providing adequate education and training to expose students to cultural creativity, and digital media design, and product design, so as to emphasize our cultural values in an era of globalization.
- -Helping students to gain the ability to utilize digital techniques and design attractive culture specific products to propagate and exhibit our cultures. -
- Fostering students' cross-disciplinary abilities and knowledge to propel further collaboration between culture industries and enhance quality in the field of cultural creativity.
- Steering students with a global perspective to grasp the dominant trends and evoke humanistic thinking to facilitate industrial transformation and re-adaptation.
