Introduction

The College of Engineering consists of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering (formerly Chemical and Materials Engineering), the Department of Electrical Engineering, the Department of Electronic Engineering, and the Department of Information Network Engineering.

Mission and Philosophy of the College of Engineering

The mission of the College of Engineering is to develop talents with practical and technical skills for today's fast-paced world. Having the ability to " continuously acquire new knowledge " and " adapt to external changes quickly" is crucial. Accordingly, the educational philosophy is to develop "competent engineers with a caring heart."

Internationalization

The College of Engineering has signed a sister college agreement with Utsunomiya University and Gunma University in Japan for student and academic exchanges. Akita University and our university have a sister school agreement, and our students study there for master's degrees every year. In addition, our university is actively promoting exchanges with McMaster University in Canada, India, and Vietnam. Furthermore, we encourage students to participate in overseas internships. Our overseas internship offerings include ICSET, CS-Bio, Shaw Corporation, etc. Meanwhile, our educational programs have obtained engineering education accreditation and are in line with international standards.
