Overall performance of the university

Quality Assurance

  1. All university departments have passed the college affairs evaluation and professional department evaluation of the science and technology universities of the Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE) in 2021.
  2. In 2021, the five departments of the College of Engineering underwent the IEET international technology and computing education accreditation evaluation by the Technology Accreditation Commission and Computing Accreditation Commission (TAC/CAC), and all of them passed.
  3. In 2019, the five departments of the College of Management acquired the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (ACCSB) accreditation.
  4. In 2021, the four departments of the College of Human Design conducted a self-appraisal of quality assurance, and all of them have passed the 6-year validity certification.

MOE competitive program

  1. The university successively received a subsidy of more than NT$100 million per year from the MOE Cultivation in Higher Education Program. The subsidy amount has increased yearly, ranking first among the private science and technology universities in the region north of Taichung.
  2. In recent years, the university received nearly a grant of NT$100 million from the MOE for the development of private colleges and universities each year.
  3. The university received “Teaching Practice Research Projects” subsidies from the Ministry of Education, with the second-largest average number of subsidies granted per teacher in the country and the first in the national comprehensive private university of Science and Technology.

Evaluation by the media

  1. In 2015, 2016, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 respectively, the university was selected as one of the TOP 20 universities with outstanding achievements in the national mutual evaluation of university presidents conducted by Cheers.
  2. In 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, it ranked first among the private universities of science and technology in the "2023 Enterprises' Favorite Universities" and "Survey of University Performance Growth" by Cheers.
  3. In the 2019, 2021, and 2023 survey of "Top 20 Most Favored College Students by Enterprises" conducted by Global Views Monthly, our university ranked first among the private universities of science and technology in Taiwan.
  4. Global Views Monthly used the Scopus database to make the list of "2021 Taiwan's Best Universities Rankings"; our university ranked first in Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) in Taiwan.
  5. In 2021and 2022 “Taiwan University Prestige Survey” conducted by Global Views Monthly, our university ranked second among the private universities of science and technology and first among the private universities of science and technology in the region north of Taichung in the “Best Universities of the Year.” Since the survey carried out by Global Views Monthly in 2012, our university has been ranked among the top 4 private universities of science and technology in Taiwan every year, with outstanding performance.
