Department Introduction

Since the university was founded, the Department of Electronic Engineering has existed. After undergoing the Division of Industrial Electronics (a two-year college program) and the Division of Electronic Engineering (a two-year college program), it was renamed the Department of Electronic Engineering in 1999. As a result of the university's ongoing support, predecessors' guidance, and the efforts of faculty and students, the department has improved continuously and received a top grade from the University of Science and Technology's evaluation. In addition, it has passed the Engineering Accreditation Certification (EAC) and Technology Accreditation Certification (TAC) of the IEET, bringing it up to international standards. Graduates have also been praised for their entrepreneurship, careers, and higher education success.

Development Features

  1. Based on the medium/ long-term development plan of the College of Engineering and the expertise and development of faculty members, the department has developed three major development areas: "Communication Electronic Systems," "Microcomputer System Applications," and "Computer Network Applications." These are the goals of the department's teaching and research and the development of electronic engineering professionals.
  2. The department provides a four-year college continuing educational program, a program dedicated to the partnership with corporations, and a dedicated program for the dual-track flagship training. The department helps national economic development by integrating emerging industries promoted by the government and incorporating local initiatives. Professional development includes "robots," "smart makers," "AI," and "IoT," which are at the core of "Smart things."

Professional Facilities

The education and development goals of the department include the circuit board manufacturing laboratory, the VLSI/CAD laboratory, the digital systems laboratory, the programming laboratory, the computer applications laboratory, the surface-mount technology laboratory, and the intelligent manufacturing line laboratory.
