On January 11, 2024, Cheers magazine released the latest “2024 Corporate Favorite College Student Survey,” declaring Lunghwa University as the top-ranked private university of science and technology nationwide for the fifth consecutive year. The university holds fourth overall, trailing behind National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taipei University of Technology, and National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. Notably, Lunghwa has ascended six places compared to its 2023 ranking, securing its position as the sole private technical university in the TOP 20.

Lunghwa University has made it to the list year after year, surpassing many national universities and well-established private institutions. It demonstrates its outstanding achievements in actively promoting industry-academia collaboration and enhancing interdisciplinary, innovative research and development capabilities, which the industry has highly recognized.

President Tzu-Hsiang Ko stated that the school aims to cultivate high-quality, practical talents for the industry and provide innovative technology services as an application-oriented technological university. Over the years, the university has been committed to promoting industry-academia connections and practical education integrated with theory. It has been deeply involved in industry-academia collaboration, continuously investing in campus infrastructure, forming industry-academia alliances with enterprises, establishing industry research and development centers, and assisting in industry upgrades. The aim is to cultivate talents jointly through industry-academia-research cooperation.

In recent years, in line with the government’s promotion of the 5+2 innovative industries plan, Lunghwa University has established three Ministry of Education-subsidized industry practice bases with a total investment of more than 300 million NT dollars. These bases include the 3D Digital Circuit Board Design and Smart Manufacturing Production Line Factory, the (5G) Mobile Communication Module Testing and Calibration Industry Environment Factory, and the High-speed Transmission Interface Electronic Assembly Design and Testing Talent and Technology Cultivation Base. The practical technologies and research and development capabilities established in these bases provide integrated design and manufacturing services to companies and cultivate high-quality talents for the industry, enabling students to focus on industry needs and strive to become the best not only in Taiwan but also in Asia in the field of practical talent cultivation in the electronics industry.

President Ko emphasized, “Joining Lunghwa, you won’t need to look for a job after four years because the job will come looking for you.” Lunghwa University utilizes AI, cloud, and other digital technologies to assist in teaching innovation, creating an intelligent campus and borderless classrooms, allowing students to experience AI-era technology applications and lifestyles early on. The curriculum deeply explores smart manufacturing, AI, IoT, cloud computing, big data, AR, VR, MR, and other application technologies and services to enhance interdisciplinary innovation and future workplace capabilities. This ultimately achieves the goal of “finding the future for students and letting the job find the talents,” making them the hottest talents in future society.
