INTRODUCTION

Amid globalization, English is the most important language for international communication. How to create a bilingual environment from a policy perspective to enhance the competitiveness of national talents and industries is a critical factor for Taiwan to connect with the international community. In response to Executive Yuan's "Blueprint for Developing Taiwan into a Bilingual Nation by 2030," the University set up the Bilingual Education Center in August 2021. The center aims to strengthen students' English proficiency, promote the teaching of professional subjects in all English/ English-Medium Instruction (EMI), and enhance the University's international competitiveness as a whole. The center will integrate the resources of our teaching units, language centers, and administrative units to support the development of English language teaching and learning across the University. At the same time, the center has developed a comprehensive quality assurance mechanism and set up related issues in conjunction with the University Research Center to conduct statistical analysis for continuous improvement.
