Instructional Objectives

This department aims to cultivate professionals of business management. The practical oriented coursework not only focuses on business administration theories but especially on the development of practical capabilities and integrated workplace training through the "theory lecturing," "certification guidance,” "implementation of simulations," and "practice competition " and these systematic four-in-one courses, supplemented by the promotion of the second degree program expertise, equip students with operational skills in both theoretical and practical capability. In addition, the department provides students with the opportunities to participate in the business community through internships. With such a course design, students are able to experience the process of "learning by doing" to link with the workplace immediately after graduation.

Development features

The course design is employment orientation which includes knowledge of five traditional business management areas: "Production", "Marketing," "Human Resources," "Research and Development," and "Finance." It is interlinked horizontally through three core feature courses namely "Project Management," "Innovation and Creativity", and "Information Application" to nurture students with competitiveness on the basis of "problem solving", "creative thinking", and "information applications." Then, based on interests, the course design vertically segregates students and put them in one of the three major employment areas of specialization in "Business Management", "Marketing and Circulation", and "E-enterprise". Moreover, the department provides curriculum programs such as "Project Management Program", "Innovation, Creation and Entrepreneurship Program" and "Information Supply Chain Management Program” to deepen students’ capability of employment practices. With the above curriculum structure and design, the Department of Business Administration provides students with integrated enterprise architecture professional knowledge and practical competence in various aspects of the "3 +3 +3" development features.
